Post 120

Ok I'm not gonna claim to know a lot about Punk or Scene music (even though I've been reading about it more and more), but I made this playlist/mixed CD that's purpose is to convey the evolution of "The Scene".  I made two versions of the playlist both similar in nature one is on Spotify and the other is a mixed CD I mad on iTunes. The weird thing about the playlist/mixed CD is that it goes through the evolution of  "The Scene" but ends with today's "scene music going from lightest (Emo/Pop-Punk) to the heaviest (Deathcore).  To say so myself I think I did pretty good and I just wanted to explain the ordering/reasoning behind the songs.

First it starts off with MC5's "Kick out the Jams". I chose this song because after reading up on the history of punk I found that the scene started before the actual punk movement went full mainstream (and by that I mean before the late 70s pushed out Sex Pistols, The Ramones, The Clash, etc.)

The second song on the playlist is suppose to represent the Punk movement of the late 70s and thought there was no more perfect song than "Anarchy in the UK" by the Sex Pistols.  This choice is simply because the Punk movement was basically started by this song.  It is a touchy subject but I think it was the right call.

For the third track we escalate into Hardcore-Punk from the 1980s, I chose the song "Institutionalized" because it is my favorite of all hardcore songs that came out of the 80s it just captures all the angst and fury of the Punk scene so perfectly that I thought it was the obvious choice.  Lets also not for get the bassist went on to join Metallica and whats more hardcore than that?!

After that we get into the early 90s and the big genre for "The Scene" then was Grunge.  So for my fourth choice I obviously chose one of my all time favorite bands in the world, Nirvana.  The song I chose by them was "In Bloom" because I think "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is pretty overplayed, and I wanted to still use a song with fast paced punk influence.

Number five on the playlist is "Linoleum" by NoFX.  NoFX is one my favorite punk bands of all time.  I chose this song because after Grunge there was a bit of rise in Punk again.  I count this one as just regular 90s Punk music because it is a little bit more hardcore than SkatePunk.

Six is the when genres start to blend together, this track I chose "Basket Cast" by Green Day to portray the rise of popularity in SkatePunk since early Green Day is a mix between 90s Punk and SkatePunk.

Next for track seven I went with "What's my age again" by Blink-182 because they are a SkatePunk/Pop-Punk blend and were key in pioneering what I call "The Warped Kids"  because that is when Warped Tour started.

Track eight is "Hit or Miss" by New Found Glory, these guys are pure Pop-Punk and I thought were a great representation of the ending 90s alternative music revolution and beginning of 2000s.

The ninth track was suppose to represent the rise of Alternative Rock in the early 2000s, the kind of stuff that "Warped Kids" more or less grew up on, and in my opinion no other band says early 2000s Alt. Rock like Jimmy Eat World, so I chose there song "Sweetness" since "The Middle" is a little over played.

Number ten is "Cute Without the 'E' (Cut from the Team)" by Taking Back Sunday.  There were a lot of bands that I could have used to represent the growing popularity of Emo music but I thought Taking Back Sunday really seemed like the best choice for early 2000s Emo.

Emo music continues to leak into the Playlist with "Sugar, We're Goin Down" by Fall Out Boy as the eleventh track.  This is when the Emo scene started to blend with other genres like Pop-Punk (new Fall Out Boy is just shitty pop music and would never make it on this list in a million years).

Nearing the end of the Emo phase we have "Can't Be Saved" by Sense Fail as the twelfth track, a notable example of how Emo music began to blend with Punk as well.

Now with the thirteenth track we start getting a little mixed chronologically.  I chose "My Last Semester" by The Wonder Years.  First thing about this song is that it is another mixture of Emo and Pop-Punk but its what I like to call New-Age Pop-Punk or more specifically Sad Pop-Punk which is why I say its mixed with Emo.  The Second thing is that this is where the playlist starts with today's "Scene" music starting light and progressively getting heavier.

For track fourteen I chose "Quicksand" by The Story So Far as another example of New Age Pop-Punk, but the thing about this is that it is more upbeat and not that depressing like The Wonder Years, Man Overboard, or Real Friends are,  Also by being more upbeat it sort of makes the music sound heavier.

Track fifteen is "Prepare to Be Digitally Manipulated" by Four Year Strong.  Four Year Strong pioneered what is known as Easycore a different version of Pop-Punk that is a little heavier than what you would normally hear but it probably kicks way more ass.

Track Sixteen is "I'm Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?" by A Day To Remeber.  Let me preface this I think that A Day To Remember is super overplayed but I don't mind certain songs sometimes this is one of those songs.  The reason I placed them after Four Year Strong is because they are (or were) a little heavier than Easycore but not really Hardcore more like a Mediumcore.

The next genre is Post-Hardcore, a genre generally only listened to by annoying 15 year-old girls but one band stands out from all the other stupid Post-Hardcore bands, Pierce the Veil.  Pierce the Veil is awesome live and have great stage presence more importantly none of the band members are douchebags.  That's why "Bulls in the Bronx" is track number seventeen

For number eighteen we have my all time favorite band Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!.  Their music is an awesome blend between Pop-Punk and Metalcore.  I put there song "Haters Gonna Hate" after Pierce the Veil because C!NCC! isn't exactly heavy enough to be full Metalcore since they blend with Pop-Punk but they are definitely heavier than Post-Hardcore (and better).

Now we get into the really heavy stuff with number nineteen being "I Have a Problem" by Beartooth.  I love the shit out of Beartooth they are so hardcore and fast-paced every song I can't help but think "FUCK YEAH!".  Their music falls under a blend between Metalcore and Hardcore-Punk. This song I chose specifically because no matter what my hat will always come flying off my head from headbanging so hard to the breakdown.

For the twentieth song I chose "Mariana's Trench" by August Burns Red.  These guys are straight up Metalcore and I chose these guys over all the other Metalcore band because they represent the heavier and furious side of Metalcore.

The Twenty-first and final song on the Playlist is "Cauterizer" by The Acadia Strain.  I don't listen to a lot of Deathcore but I think The Acadia Strain sounds a lot better than certain bands that call themselves Deathcore.

And thats it I guess here is the link to the playlist so you can listen to it. PEACE!

It seems like I am constantly alone, and I don't like that.  All I've ever wanted was to fit in somewhere but it just seems like I don't fit in anywhere.  My life has been steadily going down hill ever since I graduated high school, and I don't know if it will ever get better.  I have friends but lately it seems like they don't want me around, but I feel like if I'm not around them then something bad might happen to me.  I can't bring myself to harm myself in anyway yet whenever I'm alone I constantly think about injuring myself, I get anxiety attacks, it all just builds up and I don't know how to deal with it.  When I'm with my friends its easy to ignore the feelings, but they are still there because I don't think my friends like me.  I don't try to be loud or obnoxious or do stupid things I just can't help it, it happens out of my control or knowing and I don't know how to control it.  I don't even know why I'm writing this blog post no one reads this stupid thing.  I guess I just wanted to vent my feelings but I can't do it around my friends because I'm afraid they'll make fun of me or think I'm stupid or worse yet just think I'm some moody kid looking for attention.  And maybe I can be a moody kid looking for attention  but its only because I just want people to care about me, I want to feel wanted because its a nice feeling and it seems like I never feel that way.  I just hope that I'll still have friends when I'm older, I don't wanna die alone.

Journey of the Yellow log entry 8 (post 117)

When I woke up in Fuchsia today I decided to journey through the Safari Zone.  While trekking through all the areas and gathering items a robed Nidorina approached me and told me of yet another prophecy.  The Nidorina is part of a group if monks called the Psudessey.  All the monks reside in the Safari Zone and once all are brought together under one trainer one of the Three Great Dragons would emerge and help restore unity to the Kanto Region.  After capturing Nidorina known as Monk A, I successfully made it to the end of the safari zone where I gained Surf and taught it to Darth Mulville.  The next few Hours were spent in the Safari Zone gathering Monks B-I.  After they had all been capture like clock work another one of the Three Great Dragons emerged out of the water.  He was a Dratini and his name was Psudysseus.

Following the deposit of Christian Bale to the Council of The Computer and bringing Psudysseus onto my team, I then headed West up the bike trail.  On the bike trail I was attacked by members of a biker gang, but Warrior and Milfimus Prime took them out easily.  After that I went into a secret house off the bike trail, obtained fly and taught it to Bird Hector II.  When all of that was done I went to a small patch of grass off fence maze and trained warrior there for hours until I decided to sleep.

Here is the artwork of me before I went against Erika.

Journey of the Yellow log entry 7 (Post 115)

After waking up inside the Celadon gym it time to wage a war.  The gym was filled with amazon warriors all of which owned grass type pokemon.  Wanting to become as strong as I could be I went up against all of the great warriors one at a time.  Seth Kelly would rise out of his pokeball and obliterate all of my opponents pokemon.  Then I got to Erika, she was the leader of the gym and general of the great amazon army.  Seth Kelly managed to take out all of her pokemon except for one when he fell at the might of her fierce gloom.  But Bird Hector II flew out of its pokeball to save the day, defeating gloom with one powerful wing attack.  After that I obtained the Rainbow Badge and took control of Celadon City and Lavender Town.

When I was done with Celadon City I headed to Lavender Town to heal my pokemon and climb the Pokemom Tower.  When I started up the tower I began facing Necromancers summoning ghost pokemon to aid them in battle.  About one third of the way I managed to summon my own ghost pokemon to join the Council of the Computer, his name was Casper.  After my pokemon had become tired from battle we managed to fine a purified zone put together by a Cleric, so I managed to heal my pokemon.  Right as a reached the final set of staircases I was attacked by the ghost of Martha Wayne.  After defeating her I went to the top to find the second in command of the Organized Crime Syndicate once again challenging me.  Their pokemon had evolved but they were not any harder to defeat.  An old man named Fuji came up to me after the battle thanking me for saving him, apparently he had been held hostage.  Fuji gave me a Pokeflute and I went on my way to Fuchsia City.

After crossing the weirdly build dock bridge thing I came across a sleeping Snorlax and after waking him up he joined my team as Jack Black Ambassador for the Dock Bridge in the Council of the Computer.  Then I went down the Dock Bridge more and after defeating some more fishermen I was given the Super Rod a fishing pole that is said to attract very powerful water pokemon.  I crossed the bridge and then came across a maze built of fences, clearly if I was to make it to Fuchsia City I would be challenged.  After maneuvering my way through the maze and defeating many bird tamers and bikers I made it to Fuchsia, took a tour of the pokemon zoo and Seth Kelly evolved into a Charizard.  Following that I decided to rest for the night.

Journey of the Yellow log entry 6 (Post 112)

I woke up in Diglett Cave and finished leveling up Darth Mulville.  After that I cycled through rock tunnel and headed to Celadon City.  Before reentering the city I spent hour after hour driving around in the tall grass until I caught my Kadabra Dr. Horrble (Dr. Horibl) the Ambassador of Route 8 and he was sent to the Council of the Computer.  When I reentered the city I went back to the Crime Syndicate's hideout.  After fight my way through I managed to secure the lift key and road the elevator down to the bottom floor where I was approached by the two leaders of the gang that attacked Mt. Moon.  Darth Mulville defeated all of their pokemon but he was too weak for the next challenge.  In the room ahead was the head honcho, it felt weird that I had only been out of my home for six days and now I was already facing a mob boss that controlled the largest organized crime syndicate in the Kanto Region.  I used Milfims Prime to take out the bosses' Onix and Ryhorn, but then came the might Persian.  I switched out to Bird Hector II the fight was close with Bird Hector II's razor wind attack taking two turns to use Persian got so powerful blows but Bird Hector II managed to subdue him.  After the Crime Syndicate's hideout I went outside of Celadon City to train Bird Hector II a little more and then enter the 4th Gym and decided to rest for the night.

Journey of the Yellow log entry 5 (Post 111)

After driving my cycle to the Rock Tunnel I taught Warrior flash and he lit the entire cave so we could see.  Inside Rock Tunnel was a group of boy and girl scouts exploring the cave wanting to pass the time they challenged me to battles after maneuvering my way through the cave and defeating all the trainers I reached the end.  On the other side of the cave was Lavender Town, this town had an eerie feeling to it.  It made me feel uncomfortable so I decided to head through Rock Tunnel once more and train in a field of grass just next to the Pokemon Center by Rock Tunnel.

After I finished training my pokemon I cycled to Vermilion City to wage war against Lt. Surge.  I walk around all the trash cans and found two switches that opened the gates to the leader who attacked me with only a Raichu.  Christian Bale defeated the Raichu with one powerful blow from dig.  I was rewarded the Thunder Badge and took control of Vermilion City.  When I exited the gym I used a rare candy to level up Milfimus Prime and he evolved into his final form a fierce Venasaur.

After dropping off Bill Murray II to the Council of the Computer I was approached by a woman in a robe with yet another strange symbol.  This symbol was and upside down water drop made to look like a skull with horns on it.  She gave me a Squirtle telling me it was the chosen Avatar of Passion, so Darth Mulville joined my service as a knight.  The woman told me more about the prophecy of the chosen Avatars, when the Three Great Dragons were reformed into pokemon eggs the Supreme Mew created three other pokemon eggs.  Two of the eggs grouped with one of the Great Dragons and were chosen to be the ones to take down the Dragon Tamer and unify the Kanto region again.  The other egg that the Supreme Mew created was chosen to guide the chosen trainer to the Three Chosen Avatars and the Three Great Dragons and help him defeat the Area Leaders to unify the Kanto Region.

Soon I cycled all the way through Rock Tunnel again and landed in Lavender Town.  I went to the Pokemon Tower only to find Lucas there.  After I beat him I went towards Celadon City to obtain a Silph Scope, I found more teenagers on the road outside of Lavender Town on the way Celadon City.  I managed to defeat all of them in battle and then discovered a tunnel leading to Celadon City.  After reaching Celadon I went to the top floor of one of the skyscrapers there I found an Eevee similar to Lucas's.  It told me that The Supreme Mew made two identical Eevees one of Red and one of Blue.  It could evolve into a pokemon of one of the three types of the chose Avatars.  But one of the evolutions became corrupted as it was an electric type.  The two Eevees, Red and Blue, were destined to rival each other, one to evolve into the evil uncontrollable electric type pokemon.  I chose to have Red train under the Avatar of Wisdom and gave him the firestone for him to become a great Flareon, then I deposited him off in the Council of the Computers.

I went to the Game Corner only to find one of the gangsters, I defeated him and found there secret hideout.  After running around there and defeating gangsters to level up my pokemon I cycled all the way back to Cerulean City to train Darth Mulville.  I began in the grass near Cerulean until Darth Mulville evolved to a Wartortle then I drove down to Diglett cave trained there for the rest of the night and decided to rest.

Journey of the Yellow log entry 4 (Post 109)

After waking up I headed to a strangely named Nugget Bridge and found the one and only Lucas there.  It seems that when it comes to pokemon the one thing this man is not good at is variety and training because I plowed through all of his pokemon.  After running away again I talked to one of the people on the bridge.  He told me that if I beat all five people on the bridge I would get a special prize, I was curios and my desire to win and have stronger pokemon took over me.  I crushed all five of the trainers on the bridge and when I got to the end there was a gangster.  He handed me a gold nugget and asked me if I wanted to join the syndicate, but he was so obsessed with asking me to join that I never got a chance to say yes so I destroyed his pokemon and moved on with my life.

On a platform ahead was a man in a robe wearing a strange insignia, three dragon heads pointed towards each other.  The strange man approached me and gave me a Charmander.  He told me that this Carmander was not only the chosen Avatar of Wisdom but he was also a reincarnate of another ancient dragon.  The Charmander is a part of another group of powerful pokemon know as the Three Great Dragons.  The Three Great Dragons were three great pokemon that lived millions of years ago, they watched over the world.  One day a legendary dragon tamer wiped out these three dragons creating choas among all pokemon, leaving no one to stop him from taking control of all the dragon pokemon.  The Supreme Mew managed to save two of the dragon's souls and turn them into pokemon eggs, the other dragon went into a deep slumber waiting to be awoken by a trainer worthy enough to bring the other two dragons together.  So the first Great Dragon and chosen Avatar of Wisdom Seth Kelly became my knight.

After resting my pokemon I trained Seth Kelly in the grass of Cerulean City for hours until finally he evolved into a Charmeleon.  Next on my agenda was to head to the residence of Bill the man who created the Council of the Computer.  After safely crossing Nugget Bridge I maneuvered through a maze of hedges and teenagers making out.  I arrived at Bill's house only to find a Clefairy but Warrior sensed something was up as he rushed to the pokemon only to find out it was Bill who had fused with a Clefairy in a teleportation experiment.  I managed to run the program and get Bill to his human from destroying the Clefairy in the progress.  Wanting to devote more of his time to his experiments he gave me his ticket to ride the S.S. Anne.  Before I left I looked at his computer to see his pokemon research, I found Lucas's Eevee and it's evolutions but the writing was in a language I didn't recognize so I headed back to Cerulean to train some more.

When I got back to Cerulean I found a gangster who had ransacked another person's and stole a TM.  Naturally I defeated him and he granted me the item as a reward, but I did not return it to it's owners as used it to teach my loyal Christian Bale the move dig.  I then headed south to find a tunnel leading to Vermilion City, on the pathway there I found more teenagers and bested them in combat.  An Abra approached me and joined my team in the Council of the Computer as Doc Brown.  In Vermilion I talked to man who owned a hundred pokemon, he gave me a bike voucher and I got a free bike.  After obtain my fast-paced vehicle I went to Diglett Cave.  Inside I trained my pokemon and a Diglett joined the Council of the Computer as Bill Murray (Bill Murry).

After rigorous training I finally waged war on the Cerulean Gym Leader, Misty.  Warrior easily sped through her lackeys and half-way through the battle with the flimsy water-type trainer he learned the mighty power of thunderbolt.  Barely lifting a finger I managed to defeat Misty and obtain the Cascade Badge taking control of the Cerulean area.  The Battles with Misty and her lackeys better equipped Warrior for the next fights to come.  After winning I went back to the Diglett Cave and a powerful Dugtrio joined as my knight and new Ambassador of Diglett Cave, Bill Murray II (Bll Mry II).  My pokemon would rest at the pokemon center and then we headed to set sail on the S.S. Anne.

The great ship was sturdy and had four levels.  On the first level I met very grumpy old men who were so bored they thought they could beat me in a battle.  The bottom level was full of sailor who I am pretty sure were gay because they seemed very odd when they challenged me.  On the second level were a bunch of spoiled rich people who I felt glad striking down, but at the end of the third level I yet again was challenged by Lucas.  After thoroughly thrusting his face into the ground I headed to the top floor to find the captain of the ship hurling in a trash bucket, I rubbed his back with my magic fingers and somehow made him feel better.  He thanked me by giving me the ability to grant one of my pokemon the power of cut so that I can strike down the evil trees that stand in my way.  Milfimus Prime was granted this move.

After I left and the S.S. Anne set sail I headed on the route eastwards of Cerulean City only to find more pokemon slavers.  The slavers turned out to be a bigger challenge then I expected but I managed to defeat all of them and end their pokemon torchering ways.  After getting to the end of the route I found a pokemon center and rested me pokemon.  I headed in the opposite direction when I left the pokemon center going through to the end of Diglett Cave.  I made my way through the cut trees and obtain the HM05 flash,  after all that I decided now it is time to sleep.

Journey of the Yellow log entry 3 (post 108)

After waking up I left the Pewter City Gym,Warrior became more well equipped, and I headed eastward towards Mt. Moon.  On the route on the way there I found Pokemon Slavers capturing the local pokemon, you could recognize them because they were wearing shorts and were obsessed with you touching them.  I used Warrior to cut through all of them with his powerful thundershock and fierce quick attack.  In the patch of grass before I entered Mt. Moon, I was approached by a mighty Sandshrew who I captured who is known as Dr. Viking and sent him to the Council of the Computer.  I then rested my pokemon at the Pokemon Center and then proceeded into the great dungeon that was Mt. Moon.

When I entered the mountain cave I was attacked by one of the Guardians of Mt. Moon who mistook me for an intruder.  After defeating him I was given more information, apparently and organized crime syndicate invaded Mt. Moon and was attempting to steal there most valuable of treasures, two fossilized ancient pokemon warriors.  I maneuvered through the dungeon taking the valuables lying around including the mysterious Moon Stone and a device that bestows a chosen pokemon with the power of mega punch.  After going through the lackeys of the crime syndicate I was challenged by one more guardian.  Upon defeating him he rewarded my valiant spirit and help with defeating the crime syndicate lackeys by letting me take one of the fossilized ancient warriors.  I chose the fossil warrior of the dome, but the leaders of the squad of gangsters that invaded approached me and began to battle me.  I used Warrior and the great Christian Bale to take them down then escaped the manic dungeon, at then ending tunnel I found a Zubat who joined my Council of the Computers as Dick Grayson (Dck Gryson).

Upon my escape of Mt. Moon I rewarded Christian Bale's valiant service by bestowing him with the power of mega punch.  Then I walked to Cerulean City and rested my pokemon.  After my pokemon rested I noticed a house with a strange symbol on it.  The symbol was of a burning leaf and decided to head in.  Inside was a girl with a pokemon.  The girl began to reveal more about my destiney, she spoke about the pokemon avatars of the three aspects of life.  There are three chosen pokemon that are avatars of the three great aspects of life, these three chosen pokemon would be used to  bring down the pokemon league and restore the Kanto Region to its unified state.  She then presented me with the first avatar, a Bulbasaur, the avatar of unity a very relaxed pokemon.  I deposited Princess Leia into the Council of the Computer and then headed back to allow the Bulbasaur to join me and thus Milfimus Prime (Mlfms Prme) joined my team of knights.  After that I headed westward to a patch of grass to train.

I sent out The King to gain more strength and though he needed a little aid from Warrior, Bird Hector II, and Christian Bale, but eventually he was able to level himself up to 16 and evolve himself to a Nidorino for thirty seconds as I bestowed upon him his birthright the Moon Stone.  He evolved into a Nidoking and achieved the status of Ambassador for Viridian City.  After reducing the Rattata and Spearrow population significantly I evolved The Queen in a Nidorina and evolved Milfimus Prime into and Ivysaur.  I decided to rest after that.

Journey of the Yellow log entry 2 (Post 106)

After waking up from camping in the Viridian Forest and eating a hardy breakfast I began my training to prepare myself for the tough battle against brock, I was not aware of my importance at the time.  After long hours of defeating the dangerous flying-type pokemon plaguing the Viridian Forest's bug type population and battling with bug type anarchists I managed to strengthen my pokemon to a proper level.  When Princess Leia's turn to train came up she was brutally attacked by a rouge Caterpie, luckily she was able to best him in combat and then proceeded to evolve into a metapod making her stronger and bringing her closer to the goal of rising above the rest of the bug type pokemon and bringing peace to her home of the Viridian Forest.  Princess Leia continued to subdue the bug-type anarchists until the moment had finally come, and Princess Leia evolved into a Butterfree becoming the active ruler of the Viridian Forrest and bringing peace to the troubled bug-type pokemon.  Though there were still rouge bug-types and evil flying-types Viridian Forest became an all out peaceful place and I headed straight to Pewter City.

As I walked into Pewter City I was approached by a man who worked for Professor Oak. He told me that the gym leader Brock is part of an evil chaotic council that split the Kanto Region as a nation.  The holder of the gym badges had control over the town, the areas between towns known as routes and caves fell to anarchy among the wild pokemon.  It was my destiny to take control over the areas and defeat the Elite Four to reunite the Kanto Region under my control as the Pokemon Champion.  In order to maintain order among all the areas I must catch a knight from each area to act as an ambassador for the Council of the Computer.  Once I had a pokemon from the surrounding areas I must challenge the Gym Leader and his or her soldiers so that I can properly defeat them and gain control of the town.  Once I have all 8 badges I must pass the maze of Victory Road and defeat the Elite Four and chosen Pokemon Champion so then you may replace him as the New Pokemon Champion.

After my destiny became more clear for me I headed to a small patch of grass to find a chosen amabassador, after smiting three large mean Rattata who were not worthy of knight hood I came across another more small gentle Rattata.  Princess Leia went into combat with this one she hit him but gently enough to deem him worthy of catching, and so Knight Parthanax Ambassador of Pewter City was deposited to the Council of the Computer to join Bird Hector.  After that I headed to the Gym and declared war on Brock and his soldiers.  I went to combat with the Youngster and Christen Bale was summoned out to low kick there asses, as he went through his pokemon easy.  The battle against Brock was fierce he brought out his Geodude as I switched out to Christian Bale who took out Brock's Geodude with one low kick.  Soon came the giant rock basilisk known as Brock's Onix this one was a bit more of a challenge for Christian Bale for he withstood the mighty low kick, but he would not prove to be so resistant against two more of the might low kick as Christian Bale to the mighty Giant Rock Basilisk.  Brock bowed down before me presenting me with the Boulder badge and the TM34 Bide as proof of my success in battle today.  I took control of Pewter City and will sleep well in the most comfortable bed in Pewter City.

Journey of the Yellow log entry 1 (post 105)

Inspired as I was by the Twitch Plays Pokemon playthrough going on twitch.tv I decided to start a new game on my original Yellow version, planning out my team somewhat and picking out interesting nicknames giving them a more important role.  I decided I would use my blog to chronicle my adventures for a while until i finished my journey.  This log depicting the Journey of the Yellow would go into great detail of the importance of all pokemon and the destiny that needs to be upheld.

without further adieu,
Journey of the Yellow log entry: 1

I began my journey a boy going to explore the world of Pokemon.  In a dream a strange man in a lab coat spoke to me and told me about the wonderful creatures known as Pokemon.  This Professor Oak then asked for my name.  I told him "Carter" and he began to tell my about my rival, his grandson, who's name he had forgotten which frankly is very rude and mean to forget such a close relatives name, unless he has early onset Alzheimers in which then I'm and asshole.  I thought of who my rival was and then remembered my roomate.  "Lucas" I then reminded him of his grandson's name, he thanked me and then I woke up.

As it had turned out I fell asleep in my clothes (guess that's what happens when you get that frosted).  I proceeded down the steps past my mother and out the door.  I decided I wanted to go for a walk outside of Pallet Town when suddenly that Professor who was in my dream showed up and stopped me telling me I couldn't walk through grass, and then a wild Pikachu attack us.  Oak was lucky enough to catch it in a pokeball without having to damage it, he then began walking me to his lab.  Frankly I was a little frightened this old man wanted me to go by myself to his lab, what if mom wondered where I was.  Lucas showed up though but he is kind of an asshole, the professor was gonna give me a pokemon on his table and Lucas just took it from me and his grandpa didn't even stop him he was just like yeah whatever take it.  What if that pokemon was my destined partner and I never even had a chance to bond with him.  Oak felt bad and gave me the Pikachu he had caught before we went to his lab.  I guess I shouldn't complain Pikachu is pretty rare.  Ok kneeled down as he gave me the Pikachu and said, "This Pikachu is your partner Pokemon that you must use to fight battles for you as a knight would for a great king."  Thinking of the Pikachu as my knight I aptly named it Warrior, and he was fitted with leather armor and given a wooden sword.  As I started to leave Lucas challenged me to fight our pokemon, he had and Eevee the evolution pokemon which is pretty cool and I hope to obtain one someday.  I kicked Lucas's ass fairly quickly as I actually used moves that did damage and I set off on my pokemon journey.

I traveled down the route outside of Pallet Town using Warrior to fight off flocks of Pidgey.  Entering Viridian City I knew I needed to catch more pokemon if I wanted to get better, so I headed to the PokeMart.  As I entered the establishment the clerk yelled at me, he had know that I was coming from Pallet Town and gave me a parcel to give to Professor Oak.  So then I once again traveled the Pidgey infested roads towards Pallet Town visiting this strange Professor's lab once more.  As I brought him the Parcel his asshole grandson showed up and Oak began speaking about his dream.  He told us that he once wanted to search and find all pokemon on earth, and after that he told us that since he was so old and feeble he wanted us to carry his dream on for him.  I do not see how that could bring him any satisfaction since he won't be going anywhere, but who am I to judge the man presenting me with my destiny.  He handed me the Pokedex, an electronic encyclopedia of all pokemon in the kanto region, it was blank.  "Your quest is to find all 150 pokemon, strike down all of the 8 fierce Gym Leaders, bring down the Elite Four and take your place as the Pokemon League Champion.", said Oak.  I could not tell if he was talking to me or Lucas and I don't think Lucas knew either so we both decided it was about each of us and went on our ways.

After arriving in Viridian City I went to the PokeMart and bought 5 pokeballs, then shortly after that I proceeded towards the west to visit the wild pokemon population.  After weeding through some of the Nidoran male and female I was challenged by a Mankey.  This Mankey was a superb fighter and was excellent in hand to hand combat, I managed to capture this Mankey and add him to my team.  The excellent fighter's name was Christian Bale (Crstn Bale) and he pledged to protect me from all who tried to cause chaos.  Then deciding it was time to train my team I headed towards the Viridian Forrest when I was furiously attack by a Pidgey and after a wearing it out a bit I managed to catch it.  A sombrero was placed upon his head and Bird Hector (Bird Hectr) soon joined the group, but he would not stay in the group for too long as I entered the Viridian Forrest and after fight off a swarm of Caterpie and Metapod I ran into the strange anomaly that was a level 9 Pidgeotto.  This was strange because Pidgeys don't evolve into Pidgeottos until level 16.  Naturally I decided that I had to capture such a rare creature, this would prove to be a tough battle.  The battle started off strong, Warrior used a fierce thundershock to weaken the Pidgeotto, I didn't want to knock-out the pokemon so I switched over to Bird Hector.  He would not prove useful even though he managed to damage the wild pokemon Bird Hector was knocked-out by the far stronger Pidgeotto.  When all hope of capturing the bird seemed lost Christian Bale rose out of his pokemon and scratched down the enemy's hit points little by little managing to stay alive long enough for me to throw a pokeball and capture the wild Pidgeotto.  When I took a closer look at the bird it grew a long mustache and a big sombrero with a "2" was placed upon its head as it was named Bird Hector II (Bd Hctr II).  After the conclusion of the great battle the fallen knight Bird Hector was placed in the PC so that he may never be damaged again.  Soon I headed back to Viridian Forest training my pokemon to be stronger for more upcoming battles.

After adequately training all my pokemon knights I headed once more the western party of the city to face my rival Lucas in brutal combat.  It appeared that he had also gained more pokemon, it was only a Spearrow though and Warrior defeated it quickly only to be met once more in combat by Lucas's Eevee.  It appeared to prove a worth adversary withstanding the powerful thundershocks and taking out Warrior's HP, but soon Bird Hector II came from his pokeball using gust to blow the mighty fox away.  Lucas ran off whining like a bitch and I soon came into combat with a Level 2 Nidoran(M) and Nidoran(F).  They told me off how the Nidoking and Nidoqueen who were suppose to be representing the Viridian City pokemon population were not in their position in the gym with their master Giovanni the Viridian City Gym Leader.  In fact Giovanni was no where to be seen in the town at all.  They asked to join me so that they may become strong pokemon to represent Viridian City and help bring peace to the Kanto Region.  I accepted their invitation naming them The King and The Queen.  I then headed towards the Viridian Forest and upon my arrival I was approached in combat by a strong Caterpie.  She told me of the perrils of her forest, with the disappearance of the Pikachu there was no one to keep the birds in check and they proceeded to bring turmoil upon the Caterpie and Metapod in the forest.  If that weren't bad enough Bug Catchers were snatching up her friends and brainwashing them into fight against her people.  Hoping I would help her bring peace to the anarchy in Viridian Forest I allowed Princess Leia (Prncs Leia) to join my team.  Soon after my loyal knights Warrior, Bird Hector II, and Christian Bale defeated all the Bug Catchers kidnapping Princess Leia's people.  Night has fallen though and it is time to for me to rest, tomorrow I plan on making my knight's stronger and soon taking on the first of the Gym Leaders, Brock.
